Working with clients, engineers and biologists to avoid, reduce and offset impacts from marine terminal constuction on fish and fish habitat; deep experience with the Fisheries Act
INDIGENOUS & REGULATORY ENGAGEMENT
Working collaborately and communicating clearly with Indigenous Groups and regulators during assessments and permitting of industrial projects; using information from such engagement to determine Valued Components, assessment methods, mitigation, etc.
3rd PARTY REVIEW
On behalf of clients, reviewing materials developed by consultant teams to determine efficacy, accuracy, rigor or areas of improvement; communicating results in professional and constructive manner.
HABITAT OFFSETTING
Working with clients, biologist and habitat design engineers to develop strategies to minimize offsetting requirements, incorporate input from Indigenous Groups on types and location of offsetting, calculating offsetting gains, etc.
PLANNING & FACILITATION
Early, pre-EA, project planning to minimize regulatory schedules, define projects, scope studies and engagement approaches; organizing, leading and/or facilitating effective small or large regulatory or Indigenous Group meetings or regional planning initiatives.
EMPLOYEE COACHING
Working one-on-one with environmental colleagues interested in developing their skills as a consultant, communicator, biologist and leader.
